Top tips for switching peer-to-peer providers

Making current students part of an institution's marketing and recruitment priorities has proved highly effective for many of our partners who have seen a significant increase in their conversion rates - University of South Australia increased the number of offers accepted by 26% once they switched to The Ambassador Platform. Your current students can support you in reaching prospective students more easily through various channels as well as provide them with authentic insights into their student experience.

Peer-to-peer platforms such as The Ambassador Platform provide the ideal setup to not only connect prospective students with your current students but also manage and keep your ambassadors engaged. For Gen Z and Alpha, transparency and authenticity are key values that are assessed through various channels from social media to online and in-person events. Therefore, leveraging your student ambassadors' voices is essential in making sure you provide an authentic insight into what it's like to be a student at your institution and one of the best ways to do this is through user-generated content.

With several peer-to-peer recruitment platforms on the market, upgrading your ambassadors' as well as your prospective students' experience when it comes to the interactions they are having with your institutions is important and this is why The Ambassador Platform is the ideal solution to opt for.

Having supported numerous institutions upgrading their technology to The Ambassador Platform, we have streamlined the switching process to make it as easy as possible for admins, ambassadors and prospective students to transition to our platform.

  • Having recruited your ambassadors and set up a page where your ambassador profiles are hosted, embedding our Feed on your website and getting your ambassadors to create new profiles should take no more than 1 h to set up.
  • We recognise that you'll need to update the different stakeholders involved in the use of the platform on the change as well as train your ambassadors on how to use our Content feature to share even more insights into their student experience. We have video guides, templates and training sessions to cover all those areas, so you can easily update everyone involved and get them using The Ambassador Platform in just a few hours.

Your journey with The Ambassador Platform

We have tailored our onboarding process for our partners who are experienced in using peer-to-peer solutions, but are now upgrading their technology to The Ambassador Platform and here's what your journey with us would look like:

It's very important for us to understand our customers' needs and strategic goals and the 1h Kick off Call allows us to get this.

Once the Feed is embedded on your website alongside our pop cards and carousels and your ambassadors set up their profiles, you are ready to go live.

The next step is to start exploring our Content and FAQ features and repurpose these in your marketing campaigns. We have a collection of campaign examples and case studies for the different ways in which you can work with your ambassadors on content projects to support your social media and email campaigns. Our community events are another channel to get inspired by other innovative institutions that are using The Ambassador Platform.

And from here the sky is the limit; our partners are using our platform for various use cases from mentoring, and student engagement to summer schools and online events, working with student, staff, alumni and parent ambassadors.
