3 Ways to Keep your Ambassadors Engaged

Keeping your ambassadors engaged is as important as recruiting and training them. NCUK shared some of their key learnings when it comes to ambassador incentivization.

Each ambassador programme is built differently - you may choose to pay your ambassadors or work with them on a voluntary basis. In either of those cases, finding ways to keep them engaged is really important. For most ambassadors responding to messages comes naturally, but creating content may get harder as time goes by and inspiration runs low, so you might find some of the ideas below useful:

  1. Set up regular meetings with your ambassadors - this will enable you to catch up with your ambassadors, share feedback with them and also encourage them to get to know each other and build a community. This is also a great opportunity to brainstorm different content projects to work on in the future and get feedback from them.

  2. Run competitions - this is another way to keep the healthy competitive spirit alive amongst your ambassadors. You can keep this very simple and use our Career points to award different prizes based on how much content or how many messages an ambassador exchanged in a month. You may also consider having prizes for different categories each month such as 'Best chat conversation' or 'Best video/photo'.

  3. Share examples of great conversations or content in a monthly newsletter. It's very easy for ambassadors to miss the bigger picture, so putting together a short message that highlights the impact they had in a given period of time will definitely boost their confidence and encourage them to keep up the great work. Using stats such as the number of prospects they've engaged with or the impact their content had on social platforms is definitely a great way to showcase the impact they had.
