An association of modern universities calls for a 'fee reciprocity' for EU students post-Brexit.
At the start of last month, Education Secretary Damian Hinds announced that the first cohort of post-Brexit EU students will get the same fee treatment as UK students for the duration of their course. Cliff-edge avoided; solution deferred. This was a slight consolation for panicky VC’s lamenting the absence of clarity around research funding and student recruitment revenues. This temporary reassurance hasn’t, however, gone far enough in the view of MillionPlus, an association of 20 modern universities, who have called in a recent policy paper for UK/EU fee reciprocity after the UK has exited the European Union.
